Sometimes It's Hard Being The Rock....

Well Josh's Wake was today and I went with all my friends. It was a hard night, everyone around me crying and I had to be the Rock for everyone, the one that kept everyone together. Sometimes It's hard being the rock, being the one that's always there to give a hug or a reassuring smile. Being the one who can't show emotion and grieve in your own way. Damn I hate being the rock sometimes.... But I have to be, it's my role and I'm damn good at it apparently but it's hard sometimes it's just......

Kinda Gives you that warm fuzzy feeling inside.....

Was on my way to Brunswick today and I passed by my old middle school and decided to head on over. I saw a few old teachers who were happy to see me, a little surprised at how big I got but happy to see me none the less. The main teacher I went to see was my old English teacher in 7th grade Ms. Jalbert, this woman is phenomenal. She inspired me so much to follow my dream, goals and inspirations as well as aspirations. If she hadn't of done that I wouldn't be half the man that I am today. After waiting for her to get out of a meeting I popped my head in and you could see her eyes light up. We sat and talked for about an hour about how I was doing and what I was doing and what she's doing etc. After I left I got that warm fuzzy feeling, It made me feel good inside and I'm definitely gonna stop in more often.

The Worst day of work ever......

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING WILL BE A DEPRESSING POST

Well today I have to say was the worst day of work ever. About halfway through my shift my friend Bob tells me that my good friend Josh was just killed in a 7 car pile up in brunswick earlier today and that he's just finding out about it. So at that time I inform the management and I go on break to call people. I still haven't called Josh's brother because Bob said to give 'em the weekend before I call, which is understandable. So the rest of my shift wasn't to fun needless to say. Although my sentiment was felt throughout the front end because all of us knew Josh's brother and Josh. His sister works at shaws so we felt for the whole family. And if that's not bad enough his I think girlfriend and infant daughter were also killed in the car accident too. I think it's his girlfriend and his daughter it could be his friend and her daughter I never found out. But there was a woman and an infant in the car and they were both killed too. So I'm a little bit shook up right about now so I'm gonna go and try to get some sleep.

R.I.P. Josh Snyder..ill see you in shangri-la man

Well that was a bust.....

well homecoming was this weekend and let's just say it didn't go as planned..... My date was this new girl named Katie who I had some feelings for hence me asking her to the date. I got out of work at 7, bought her a dozen roses and rushed over there to pick her up because the dance started at 730, I get there and everything is going good we head out to the car and go to the dance. She mentions something about Joe coming and she wanted to hang out with him a little and me thinking nothing of it had no problem with it. so she goes off and hangs out with Joe for a bit and i go and talk to my friends for a little bit. After a while i go get some punch and go to find her only to find her with Joe, his arms around her slow dancing. So after cleaning up the punch I dropped I promptly went back to my friends and vented for about a half hour. And to make things work she was giving away the roses I had bought her. So at about 10 I decided to leave and me and a friend of mine left, we left Katie there to fend for herself maybe get a ride with her new "Boyfriend" I dunno I don't care. So that's my post I hope y'all enjoy my pathetic weekend.

The Hell that is The Kitchen Floor

First off I'd like to apologive for the enourmous amount of slackage that I've done I've just been to lazy to update. Let's bring you folks up to date, I turned 18 on the 9th of sept. WOOT! been buying lottery tickets ever since. Hopefully will be promoted to team captain soon at Shaws. Other than that nothing major has happened in the life of me. My mom and I have been putting in a new floor in the kitchen this weekend (Hence the title of this post) and it's been hell on wheels. I started putting down the tiles yesterday afternoon while mom went and took a nap. And after 3 hours of swearing, mess ups and the throwing of the hammer (which almost hit the cat BTW) I decided it was time for mom to get involved before I put a hole in the floor. So with the addition of mom to the equation we balenced each other out and managed to get some good progress done on the floor. At about 5:30 Shaws calls and says "You were supposed to be here at 5". I didn't know I had to work today because I had stupidly forgot to mark saturday on the calender so I told them that I'd be there after I finished putting in the tile I was working on. So I left mom and Betty to finish half of the kitchen while I dragged myself to work....until 11. Man when 11 came around I was one hurtin S.O.B. Come to find out Betty didn't help and mom did the rest of the half of the Kitchen by herself. So needless to say I felt like an ass because mom had to finish the half of the kitchen herself. Which she did a very good job of BTW. We cranked out the other half today exept for a few spots which require some "skill" with the box cutter which we'll probably get done during the week. Man this floor project has been a real endurance trial, between mom's back practically going out and the mess ups it has been very tiring but it looks really good. But I've gotta get goin it's getting late I'll try to update more from now on.
